This symposium was organized as a series of four consecutive Special Interest Sessions (SIS).

Each session, but the second one, was organized in two parts:

(1) Keynote speakers introduced one sub-topic, a short state-of-the-art, the main challenges and key issues, some recent findings or case studies and pending questions;

(2) then a roundtable/panel discussion was organized with panelists, including a debate with the audience.
